Sustainability at Yulgro

At Yulgro, we believe responsible manufacturing and horticultural innovation go hand in hand. From renewable energy to natural, UK-grown materials, we are taking practical steps towards a more sustainable future.

Renewable Energy

At Yulgro, we've invested in solar panels to generate renewable electricity and help power our operations.

This is one of the practical steps we're taking to reduce our environmental impact and build a more sustainable business.

Wool – Part of Our Farming Heritage

Yulgro has its roots in farming. We continue to run a working sheep farm with over 200 breeding ewes, so wool has always been an important part of our story.

As a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre, wool was a natural choice when developing our Pot Toppers.

Our farming background has helped shape our approach to creating practical products for professional growers, with sustainability at the heart of what we do.

UK-Grown Natural Fibres

We believe in making the most of natural resources. Alongside wool, our Pot Toppers incorporate UK-grown natural fibres, supporting the use of renewable materials.

By choosing natural fibres wherever practical, we aim to reduce reliance on synthetic materials while developing effective products for professional growers.

Recycling & Waste Reduction

At Yulgro, we believe that valuable materials should not go to waste.

Offcuts generated during the cutting of our Pot Toppers are returned to the mill, where they are processed and incorporated into new material.

By reusing these offcuts, we help reduce manufacturing waste, make better use of natural resources and support a more circular approach to production.
